Sport in History Podcast 32 – BSSH News

A short podcast this week with news from the latest meeting of the BSSH Board that was kindly hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University. BSSH Chair Raf Nicholson announces the two keynote speakers for the 2020 Conference in Twickenham (that’s on 27th and 28th August if you want to get it in your diaries) and reveals a great new initiative to encourage attendance by potential speakers who need help with childcare.
There is also news of the Society’s prizes for postgrads, researchers into sport and minority communities and the big one – the Arberdare Prize.
Listen out too for Dil Porter’s search for BSSH members who can recall the foundation of the Society nearly 40 years ago.
If you want more information on any of the topics discussed go to the Society’s website for more details or to contact us. Or Tweet us @BritSportHisSoc
