Resto 15 Larwood & Voce, Trent Bridge

At the ground to watch the wonderful Tammy Beaumont score a double hundred against the Aussies lunch was just a necessary thing to get out of the way in between cricket watching in the scorching Notts sun. Alas, rapidity of delivery was not available from Larwood & Voce.

We’d pre-booked and ordered so it shouldn’t have been too difficult but lunch for us started when lunch ended for the players and there was some pretty hungry Cricket Society Trenchers getting querulous round the table. When it came my steak burger was not the best (a bit gristly) and in fact the green salad side order arrived with was the star of the show. I withstood the scorn of the carnivores around me and ate it happily, all the while looking enviously at the plate of delicious-looking salmon next door.

Carbs loaded it was time to develop that ta get burnt watching England dominate the afternoon and sup a few ales.
