Resto 17 Hanedan, Green Lanes
Pre-quiz food hunting along Green Lanes is becoming less and less adventurous as the march of the Ottoman hordes sweeps all other cuisines aside. The latest victim is Bun & Bar, an excellent (Turkish-run) burger joint that has now been converted to yet another kebab-based enterprise. I guess at least it’s not another spurious ‘nut shop’ or wedding dress venue. But it does mean that the non-Turkish options in our neighbourhood are few and far between.
So we went to Hanedan as the closest option to the Soller. A chicken shish was standard, with a good heap of salad to share between the two of us. The inevitable Efes washed it down and service and everything was good. But I was gagging for a Fireburger and a pint of cold Staropramen so
