Resto 46 Casa Nostra, Market Harborough
In town for a reunion with old school friends two thirds of the party insisted on eating before drinking. Sensible, right? especially as I had an early flight to Rome the next day.
We spurned Pizza Express in favour of something local and this was a good idea. Service was friendly and the offer pretty much the same. The wine was a Frascati (scepticism across the way turned to appreciation) and the pizza was good.
The best thing of the day though was the tap at Harborough, a real refuge from the pouring rain and an excellent selection of scratchings. The kind of place you don’t get in London.
7/10
