Resto 5 Pho Odessa, Paris

The last time I was in this neck of the woods James and I did a double bill of Dunkirk and curry. Seeking further non-cheese adventures after the Arsenal draw we strolled down to Pho Odessa.
First impressions were difficult! The room is bright, this is not somewhere to come if you mind appearing to your dining companion as you would on a passport photo. Also, there was screaming babby on the next table (which was thankfully removed fairly soon).
The menu is standard Vietnamese. Prawn crevettes and vegetable nem were outstanding. Crunchy as fuck. The beef pho was a bit underpowered stockways so I slathered in a lot of chilli sauce and that improved things.* Saigon beers to wash that down and we exited as two very satisfied customers.
8/10
* The beef came three ways – sliced beef, raw beef and beef balls. And who doesn’t like beef balls?
