The last time I was in My Old Dutch Denis Bergkamp was playing for Arsenal and I could climb a flight of stairs at a tube station two at a time. MOD, I'm glad to say, has aged better than I have in the intervening years.

Sat in a booth and despite the noise we had a convivial chat in the company of a marvellous mixture of people. Recommended.

The room is beautifully light, even on a crappy November day. It's got to be one of the most elegant dining rooms in London at mid-price.
