Øve Arup is a must-see for anyone interested in London history and architecture. It also has a little surprise for those from County Durham.

Trad English doesn't get better than this. There's a reason why it's still going strong.

The room was empty when we arrive but bursting at the seams when we left. Pennethorne's excellent food and service justifies its popularity.
