Resto 1 Banana Tree, Clapham

A grey day in Clapham for a post-New Year catch up with an old friend. We chose Banana Tree solely on the basis that it was open for hot food in the afternoon. The room was empty when we arrived and empty when we left but that didn’t really reflect the service or food which were both good enough rather than terrible. I had a ramen which was noticeably less packed with flavour or things than you’d get at Shoryu. A Singha beer to wash it down and the bill come to £20 a head. An average meal in the ‘burbs started 2023 with a whimper rather than a bang.
