Restaurant , Le Terminus, Paris

Killing time before a gig at Bercy we chose Terminus on the basis that it was open and we were getting soaked in the rain. We could have done worse.
It’s a typical station-side café – definitely more glamorous from the outside. The welcome was warm however – an enquiry about the Olympics from the manager and some badinage about Sri Lanka’s progress in the T20 World Cup with the waiter.
Special of the day was bœuf bourguignon which was dished up super quick with a carafe of Brouilly. Both were acceptable.
We moved on to Feu! Chatterton, who turn out to be a half indie/half variety act, and very charming. Save for a tribute song to a lost friend that slipped into real fake sincerity and featured an unnecessary special guest on saxophone.
7/10
