Resto 54 Mildred’s, Dalston
I'm sure there are more 'authentic' (whatever that means) vegan places around the area but I'd thoroughly recommend Mildred's to veggie and non-veggie friends alike.

Vague memories of eating soup, spuds and fish. D for effort.
Sweetbreads, kohlrabi and pig skin. Food, service and décor that is thought through with comfort and pleasure in mind.
A favourite pizzeria in Finsbury Park is fortunately replaced by something just as good in Walnut.
Slightly chaotic but good pizza in a bosky den.
It is a good place. The waiter/manager told me they'd been open for three weeks and I hope they make a go of it. Covent Garden has an awful lot of crap but the Oystermen aren't involved in that scene, they cook straight up good food and serve it well at a reasonable price for the area. I hope they thrive.
Wine and food for under a tenner a head! Recommended.
Much improved after coming under Benugo's management if you're in the BM the Great Court is worth booking.
Post-show blues only mean you should get on with something else.
On a sunny Monday lunchtime we strolled to Assaggetti tempted by their lunchtime offer of two courses for £16.95. It was a good choice.
