Resto 31 The Otter, Otterbourne

When you’ve run a fair way big food is a requirement, so it was with a sense of relief that friends told me that they’d like to eat in a country pub later that day.

The hours of Sunday roast had passed so I plumped for cheeseburger with a pint of Otter on the side. The burger had the trinity of good burger – mass, taste and juice. Chips along side that were demolished and then a bit of salad too. The perfect culinary round off to a semi-athletic day.

The pub itself is a gem. Sometimes it’s good to get out of London.

7/10
