Restaurant 12, Hofbrau, Hamburg
Well, we’d been in Germany for over a day and hadn’t yet had a sausage. So we were overdue. Hofbrau is pretty much sausage central. Unless you want pork knuckle but I haven’t been able to nosh a knuckle since Bonn and Death By Pig night so it was näkki for me.
A generous helping of five fingers showed up with some delicious sauerkraut and not much else. But I devoured it with gusto. Weissen helped that down and we were on our way to hunt out a place for the France game. not exactly gourmet fare but a job well done.
6/10
