Resto 8 Umut 2000, Harringay
At 25 quid a head including service (which was excellent) Umut is the best value I've had on Green Lanes recently and well worth considering for a future post-snooker scoffage.

Another weekend another random suburb of London.
The service was charm itself and the room just as functional as you'd want from a pit stop pizzeria. Prices showed that K Town has slid nearer to Primrose Hill than it used to be so we retired to the Park Tavern for post-food relaxation and proper north London prices.
For main a pancetta lump (it was more elegantly described on the menu) was a thing of wonder - three sticky boulders of pig in a fiercely hot sauce with plenty of veg alongside.
Would I go back? Probably not. Would I recommend it for a good, quick, cheap-ish meal if you're in the area. Possibly, it's got to be better than Café Rouge.
A misremembered good meal.
An average meal in the 'burbs.
A rare 9/10 - exceptional food, wine and service make José P the new go to in Piccadilly.

The previous Prom I'd seen this summer was the Death Prom where we Londoners were assured that should we attempt to take a trip to a concert we would either be fried by the merciless rays of our nearest star or asphyxiated by the ferocious heat of our subterranean network.
I was brained out and hungersome.
